Air is 78% nitrogen, but in a form that is not plant soluble. The process used by Green Lightning binds that nitrogen within water, the finished product is plant soluble nitrogen in water.
The Green Lightning Nitrogen Machine is best used when replacing conventional forms of nitrogen. Whether you traditionally use UAN, Urea, or Anhydrous Ammonia - when made and used properly - Green Lightning can help you cut back, or completely replace your application rates on those traditional forms. The machine makes nitrate nitrogen (NO3). The product can be both soil applied and foliar applied. Foliar application is more effective because it utilizes leaf uptake efficiency, although, soil application has shown to have strong germination results. The advantage Green Lightning has over other forms is that it is saltless – you will not burn your crop when applying it directly to the foliage, this is a key differentiator.
We measure the nitrate nitrogen the machine makes in ppm. The amount is variable based on certain factors (more explained below). This is the main reason we do not have a guaranteed analysis, instead we use an equivalent ratio to determine which rate(s) will be effective.
You are the Factory
Like in all manufacturing, raw materials matter. In this case, our raw materials are air, water and electricity. We handle the air and electricity, the water is controlled by you. You need Reverse Osmosis (RO) to achieve the correct water spec to optimize the end product and utilize the machine to its fullest potential. This is Step 1 in the sales process, we will not sell a machine unless the correct water spec is consistently achievable.

Other Infrastructure to Consider
Product Storage – One 6-head machine will make 3000 gallons of product each month, storage is a factor to consider. Stainless steel and poly tanks are best. The tanks must block sunlight to prevent algae growth, which effects the end product.
Operation Environment – We are dealing with water, the product will freeze below 0 degrees. The machine cannot be operated in freezing conditions either.
